Privacy Policy

Shufu · Last updated 14 August 2026

Shufu is a private, personal reminder app. It was built to keep your life on your own phone and nowhere else. This policy explains, plainly, what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version

Shufu does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. There are no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers of any kind. Everything you enter stays on your device.

What the app stores, and where

Your reminders, habits, notes, appointments, planned flights, your name, your chosen theme and settings, and your habit-tree progress are stored locally on your device using the operating system's private app storage. This information is never sent to us or to anyone else.

Passcode and Face ID

Access to the app can be protected by a passcode and Face ID that you set up yourself. Your passcode is never stored in readable form — only a scrambled (salted, hashed) version is kept on your device so the app can check it. Face ID is handled entirely by Apple on your device; the app never sees your biometric data.

Health-related entries

If you use Shufu to remember medications, the names and times you type are treated like any other reminder: they stay on your device and are never transmitted. Shufu does not read from or write to Apple Health.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled and delivered as local notifications by your device. Scheduling happens on-device; no reminder content is sent to a server.

Data we receive

None. Because the app has no account system and no backend, we have no way to see, collect, or access anything you enter.

Children

Shufu is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change with it.
